Built on Precision.
Since 1945.
Defined by Four Generations of Quality and Craftsmanship.
Four Generations of Precision
In 1945, Arthur and Catherine — the "A" and the "C" in ACAL — built a small family grinding shop on hard work, integrity, and pride in doing things right. More than a business, it was a promise to create something lasting for the generations to come.
Four generations later, that promise has been carefully carried forward. Each generation learned the trade hands-on, adding new capabilities while honoring the foundation Arthur and Catherine laid together — guiding ACAL's evolution from precision grinding into full turnkey CNC manufacturing.
Today, we serve aerospace, automotive, defense, and general industrial clients. Our core grinding expertise remains at the heart of what we do — and ACAL is still a family company, driven by the same care and craftsmanship it was built on.
1945 — ACAL Is Founded
Arthur, his wife Catherine, and their partner Al establish ACAL as a precision grinding shop built on craftsmanship, integrity, and family values.
1950s–1960s — Precision Grinding Reputation
ACAL earns a reputation for tight-tolerance grinding during the growth of American manufacturing.
The second generation takes the lead, modernizing operations while preserving hands-on knowledge. ACAL expands beyond grinding to begin offering machining services, broadening support for customer needs
The addition of Acal’s first CNC machining center marks a major step toward advanced manufacturing.
Tontinued investment in CNC technology allows Acal to offer full turnkey manufacturing solutions.
With added in-house engineering expertise, ACAL continues to deliver precision manufacturing across aerospace, automotive, defense, medical, and industrial markets.
